Our Story...

Hi, I’m Scott. I founded Agora Community Events because I believe the most important things we build in life are the roots we put down in our own neighborhoods.

Originally from New Jersey, I moved to Colorado in 2014 with my wife and cat, and have spent the last decade building a community of families, friends, and neighbors right here in Lafayette. Before launching Agora, I spent 18+ years in the corporate sector—most recently in Life Sciences and IT consulting—negotiating high-stakes contracts for Big Pharma. While that career sharpened my business development and project management skills, my real passion has always been the "Modern Agora": creating the spaces where people actually connect.

I have always held space for community, and am often the party planner of my friend groups, offices, and in my own family. My wife and I host seasonal neighborhood holiday parties in our home, and we both feel strongly that you are stronger when you build a community of love around you.

When I was living in NJ, aside from corporate sector work, I ran a small company that produced high quality large scale airsoft games that saw regular attendance in the hundreds of players. I started Agora to merge my passion for community building with my skills in both event production and corporate business development to help bring high quality events to my own neighborhood and beyond.

I believe that we are stronger together than we can ever be apart, and I want to help forge stronger community bonds in my neighborhood and yours.
